"Rome! By all means, Rome."

I guess if you're going to steal a star, you might as well steal one of the very best.

("Mr. Bradley, if you don't mind my saying so, I think you are a ringer." -Audrey Hepburn as Princess Ann, "Roman Holiday")

My favorite movie, ever.

Ahem... anyway, Roman Holiday moment over. Back to work.

People think I'm kidding when I tell them that Audrey Hepburn ranks #1 on my list of Hollywood babes...but I'm dead serious. She was really something.

And Gregory Peck is one cooooool cat.

Yeah...I'm thinkin' Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson are not quite in the same league.

I looked everywhere when I was in Rome for that face-statue where you're supposed to put your hand in and say the truth... no luck :(

Sal, you are a man after my own heart!

G.C. Philo, sorry about your luck! I found it during my solo Roman Holiday, no thanks to my P.O.S. Frommer's guidebook -- I'll never leave home without Lonely Planet again! Like every place else in Rome at that time of year (late summer), there was a line, but it was worth it. I had just come from my summer in Madrid, and in line behind me were two women from -- Madrid. Friends everywhere, that was the theme of my trip. :)

A few days later, I met a lovely Scottish woman who wanted to go, but not by herself, so I actually went twice! :) The church where the Mouth of Truth is located is also really lovely, very old, dark, and simple. There was also some beautiful art on display inside. (Well, it was Rome!)

If you ever go back, it's worth wandering the streets and asking the Romans for directions!
